Introduction

The Florida Brownfields Association (FBA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization of dedicated and concerned individuals with a common interest in redeveloping and revitalizing underutilized properties in Florida.

  • Mission Our mission is to promote a wide array of Brownfield-related goals, objectives and initiatives, including environmental restoration, economic revitalization, natural resource preservation, conservation and recreational-based beneficial reuse, enhancement of financial and regulatory incentives, job creation and training, public health, environmental equity and justice, and community outreach and education.
  • Diversity The diversity of our membership includes a wide variety of stakeholders from property owners to developers, local, State, and Federal agency representatives, land planners, regulatory experts, community leaders, legal experts, financial and insurance industry representatives, and environmental professionals.
  • Opportunity The networking opportunities offered by the FBA include access to innovative environmental concepts as well as proven remediation techniques through direct experience of other members.  Interaction with other professionals in Brownfields programs also provides opportunities for investment and insight into redevelopment activities throughout the state.
  • Service The FBA is a service-oriented organization that seeks to provide information, education, and worthwhile programs that will benefit communities in the State of Florida and preserve the heritage that our unique cultures offer.  In addition to redevelopment and revitalization, our programs seek to promote health, safety, and economic stability for all Florida communities, both large and small, in an atmosphere of united purpose and achievement.
