Fishing Tournament

8:00 am - 2:00 pm (please arrive at Dolphin's Landing by 7:30 am)

The Florida Brownfields Association is hosting a pre-conference fishing tournament leaving from Dolphin's Landing (4900 Gulf Boulevard - St. Pete Beach, map to be provided upon registration).

Where You Will Fish and What You Will Catch:
You will be fishing in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico with the best local guides available!  We will be fishing primarily in the backwater bays, focusing on inshore fish such as redfish, trout, and snook.  Weather permitting, some of the boats may venture into the Gulf in search of other near shore species such as king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, cobia, tripletail, tarpon, etc.  The fish you catch will be dependent on the guides and the weather.  FBA will be arranging flats boats capable of handling groups of up to three people.

Tournament Rules:
Each person registered for the trip will be entered into the tournament.  You can fish wherever your guide takes you and use whatever bait you are provided with.  The tournament is catch and release only.  Prizes will likely be awarded for several categories including:

• Smallest Fish (Individual)
• Most Fish (Boat)
• Largest Fish (Boat)
• Best Fish Story (Captain's Pick)

Prizes will be awarded immediately following the tournament at Bahama Mama's Beach Bar & Grille (5250 Gulf Boulevard - about one block from the marina).  Drinks and appetizers will be provided - compliments of TBE Group, Geosyntec Consultants and Frank Hearne.

Cost to Enter:
$280 per person or $750 for a boat (up to 3 people)

Price includes captain's tip, bait, and tackle.  Each boat is responsible for food and drink for the
fishing crew.  Space is limited, so send in your registration and payment as soon as possible to reserve a spot in the tournament.  Spaces will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.  We will make every effort to get you onboard, but your spot on a boat depends on availability. The FBA reserves the right to return registrations for individual fishermen if others do not sign up and fill the boat
 
If you sign up for the trip and don't show up, we still have to pay the guides so NO Cancellations (except for inclement weather).  All registrations must be accompanied with payment or purchase order.
